Unified National Remittance Gateway (URG): A Unified National Remittance Gateway is a secure, sovereign financial infrastructure that provides one standardized API for global Money Transfer Operators (MTOs) to access all banks and mobile money wallets within a country, built on or fully integrated with the national payment switch, enabling real-time settlement, shared KYC, and full regulatory visibility, under IMF / World Bank–grade governance standards.

The Unified National Remittance Gateway (URG) is a centralized, state-supervised digital platform designed to streamline, secure, and regulate cross-border remittance flows into a country.

It enables international Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), banks, fintechs, and payment service providers to connect through a single, secure API rather than integrating separately with each domestic bank or mobile wallet provider.

The Gateway is:

Integrated with or built directly on the National Payment Switch, ensuring interoperability across the entire financial ecosystem

Capable of real-time transaction processing and settlement

Supported by shared and interoperable KYC / AML infrastructure, reducing duplication and fraud
